Oceanicola granulosus HTCC2516

Ecology and Physiology

Oceanicola granulosus HTCC2516 was isolated from seawater collected from a depth of 10 meters at the Bermuda Atlantic Time Series study (BATS) station in the Sargasso Sea by dilution-to-extinction culturing. Oceanicola species are known to utilize a wide range of substrates and accumulate poly-beta-hydroxybutyrate granules.
